Y.A.A.S JUDGING STANDARDS
AND SHOW RULES APPROVED POINTING

SHOWS and SCHEDULES

1

A society running an OPEN SHOW must engage a minimum of three A class judges. It is requested that they engage the equivalent number of B class judges. This will help with their training

2

The engagement of a judge implies acceptance by the society of the Y.A.A.S. rules and show rules.

3

It is a condition of engaging a judge that full acknowledgement is given to the Y.A.A.S. in their schedules, catalogues and other publicity materials.

4

Judges must be booked direct by the societies

5

It is strongly recommended that classes and sections be indicated by numbers and letters running consecutively.

6 The breeders class should be divided into two classes -;
Breeders - Egglayers.............. Breeders - Livebearer
7 The coldwater section must be divided into at least three sections
a) Common Goldfish and Comets
b) Fancy Goldfish including man made fish
c) A.O.V Coldwater

8

The Best Fish in Show is one gaining the most points out of the single fish classes, judged by at least two A class judges.

9 The Best Exhibit will come from all classes except single fish classes.
10 A diploma and red pin will be awarded for the Best Fish in show.
A diploma and blue pin will be awarded for Best Exhibit.
A single fish gaining 85 points or more will be awarded a Star Award. This entitles the fish to be entered into the Fish of the Year Competition.

11

The best Exhibit will also be given a diploma qualifying it to be entered for Best Exhibit of the Year contest, when attaining 85 points or more

12

If there are any official complaints at an Open Show then they must be put in writing and given to the Show Secretary before the end of the show. The complaint will be resolved as soon as possible by Management committee

13

Anyone who wants to show for another club in the same show year must inform the show league secretary that they wish to transfer. Any points gained would stay with the original club and points gained for the new club would not count unless the show league secretary has been informed and agrees to the change. For showing purposes, only one club change is allowed per show season

14

The judges decision is final.
