Y.A.A.S JUDGING STANDARDS
AND SHOW RULES APPROVED POINTING



RECOMMENDATIONS ON SHOW RULES

1 Any jars or tanks containing ornaments are classed as novelty jars or tanks.
2 Junior exhibitors must be under 14 years of age
3 The novice class is for exhibitors who have not won a first place at any Open Show
4Fish not listed in the schedule wil go into the class A.O.V.Tropical.
5Mudskippers may have a bvlock of wood placed under one end of the tankto give the fish a slope to deport on
6 All jars or tanks to have sufficient air space above water to allow fish to deport properly
7 The judge may turn off the air pump to aid judging, but he will not be held responsible for turning it on again
8 No artificial lights to be used on fish or plants classes
9 Items which may lead to disqualification :-
a. Any fish which is too large for the container
b. Not enough water for the fish to deport properly
c. Too much water
d. Dirty water
e. Too much live food in the container
10 If the show secretary has asked the judges to start the judging, then no more exhibits are to be benched.
11 An Open show shall consist of at least 33 classes
12 All fish and plants must have the common or scientific name on the cotainer. Failure to do so will result in the exhibit being disqualified.
13 Plants may be shown in plastic bags, trays or tanks.
14NO FISH MAY BE PHOTOGRAPHED BY ANYONE AT OPEN SHOWS UNTIL AFTER THE CLASS THAT THEY ARE IN HAS BEEN JUDGED
ANYONE NOT WISHING THEIR FISH TO BE
PHOTOGRAPHED TO WRITE N/P ON THE FISH NAME LABEL

A constant check will be kept on standards and from time to time alterations will be notified.
If no sizes are marked information will be advertised, if and when it is received.
